Dog boarding in Preston

Home-from-home dog boarding in Preston

Overnight care in a calm home setting, with feeding, walks, rest and familiar routines discussed before the stay.

Dog boarding from £33/night

A calm alternative to a kennel-style stay

Home boarding is for owners who want their dog cared for in a normal household environment rather than a high-volume kennel setting. Before a first stay, I want to understand the dog's feeding times, walks, sleep routine, toilet habits, behaviour around other animals and anything that helps them settle.

I work from home, which makes regular company practical. The goal is not to reinvent your dog's routine for a few days; it is to keep the parts they already recognise as consistent as possible.

What I need to know before boarding

  • Normal feeding routine and treats
  • Walk frequency, lead behaviour and recall expectations
  • Where the dog normally sleeps
  • How they cope when briefly left
  • Any medication, mobility issues or senior-dog needs
  • Reactivity, guarding, escape risk or behaviours I need to plan around

Updates while you are away

Photo and message updates are part of the normal approach. If there is anything you particularly want me to monitor—appetite, mobility, toilet habits or settling overnight—tell me before the stay.

Dog boarding prices

The current base rate is £33 per night. Holiday dates, puppies, additional dogs, longer stays and higher-care arrangements can be priced differently. The final price is agreed before the booking.

Common questions

Do you offer a meet & greet?

Yes. A meet & greet is useful for first stays so we can go through the routine and make sure the arrangement looks suitable.

Will my dog be left alone all day?

No. I work from home, so regular household presence is one of the main benefits of the service. Any time your dog may need to be left is discussed in advance.

Do you take senior dogs?

Senior dogs can be considered. Tell me about mobility, medication, toilet frequency and normal walk length when you enquire.

What should I bring?

Bring the food, medication, lead or harness and anything else that helps maintain the normal routine. Bedding or familiar comfort items can also be useful.

Need care for your pets or home?

Send your dates, postcode and a little about your pets. I’ll check availability and confirm the price before you book.
